SADIGOV AMINAGHA BAHMAN – 60
Sadigov Aminagha Bahman oglu, was born in Lerik District of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on December 18, 1962.
In 1985 А. Sadigov graduated from the Faculty of Applied Mathematics of Dnepropetrovsk State University. He began his professional career at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS. In 1992 was awarded the degree of Candidate of Mathematical Sciences (PhD in Mathematics).
A. Sadigov devote his further academic efforts to creating mathematical models, methods and information technologies for solving control problems in emergency situations at the Institute of Cybernetics of ANAS (now Institute of Control Systems). In 2013, A. Sadigov defended his dissertation "Mathematical models and technologies for solving control problems in emergency situations" and earned the degree of Doctor of Engineering in the specialty "Computer Science".
In 2010, A. Sadigov was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor, in 2016 the title of Professor, and in 2017 he was elected a Corresponding Member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences in the specialty "Computer Science".
А. Sadigov is a prominent scientist in the field of mathematical modeling, methods and automated control systems for solving control problems in emergency situations. He is the author of a number of mathematical methods, models and information technologies, as well as about 200 research works, including 4 scientific monographs, 5 books, 2 inventions and 2 patents. A. Sadigov was involved in the implementation of over 20 research international and national projects as a leader or team member, represented our country at more than 60 prestigious scientific forums in 40 countries of the world.
On May 2, 2019, A. Sadigov was elected by the General Assembly of ANAS as the Academician-Secretary (Vice-President) of ANAS and a member of the Presidium of ANAS.
On December 11, 2020, A. Sadigov was appointed Director of the Institute of Control Systems, and since February 1, 2021, he has been the Executive Director of the Institute.
At present, A. Sadigov is engaged in multifaceted scientific, scientific-organizational, pedagogical and social activities. Over the years he worked as an assistant, associate professor and professor at leading universities. At present he is a professor at the National Defense University of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction. In addition to lecturing at leading universities, A. Sadigov devotes a lot of time to encouraging young people to engage in scientific research and training highly qualified personnel. He heads the Laboratory of Control in Emergency Situations at the Institute of Control Systems. At present, about 10 young candidates are working on their PhD and doctoral dissertations under his supervision.
A. Sadigov was awarded the medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan "Taraggi" ("Progress"), the medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan "100th anniversary of Baku State University (1919-2019)" and four Certificates of Merit of ANAS. He was also awarded the gold medal of the International Rating Academy and awards of a number of international and national non-governmental organizations.
A. Sadigov speaks Azerbaijani, English, Russian, Turkish, and Ukrainian.
