DETERMINING THE SEISMIC SAFETY ZONE FOR THE NAKHCHIVAN AUTONOMOUS REPUBLIC

The authors substantiate the necessity for determining the zone of seismic safety of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The coordinates of the vertices of the Nakhchivan geographical rectangle are determined. The short formula for calculating the distance between two geographical points is given. By means of this formula, the borders of the Nakhchivan geographical rectangle are expanded and the seismic safety zone is determined.
